Compress 1GB file to 10MB file : KGB archiver

KGB file archiver is a free and open source file archiver which can compress an 1GB file into 10MB. It utilises the PAQ6 algorithm which has AES-256 encryption. KGB archiver is available for both window and linux operating system. Compression ratio of this archiver is very high. Due to high compression ratio, the time require to perform the compression is high. The time require for compression also depend upon the size of the file and format of the file. You can chose any compression level - high, maximum, normal, low and very weak.
The compression time depend on the selected compression level.

The only drawback of KGB achiver is that it uses it own file extension which is not standard and hence you need to have the KGB program installed on your system to decompress the compressed file.
